- Author. Paul wrote Titus (1:1) from Macedonia possibly in about 67 A.D. after he had been freed from his first Roman imprisonment.
- Recipients. Titus is written to Titus (1:4), the young (probably late 30's or early 40's, cf., son in 1:4) pastor (1:7) of the church on the island of Crete (1:5).
- Theme. The godly life of the believer.
